Standardbred Fan Club
I’d like to introduce you to my best boy, Jose Jalapeno! He’s just coming 4 and is all Standy! I bought him about a year and a half ago for $450 and he’s been the best $450 I’ve ever spent.
I bought Jose from a track barn, his name was then Vegas Amanda and her talented Standardbred horse Blackjack, but his registration wasn’t finished, so I called him Jose.
He wasn’t interested in pacing, so he was sold before the barn moved to the track for the season.
He loves to smile, hug, bow, lay down, play dead, do targets and Spanish walk and wave. His favorite is wave and kiss mom on the cheek!
When I met him, I understood. He said to me “I don’t want to be a racehorse, I want to be a MOVIESTAR!” and so my project began. Jose is going nicely under saddle and we will be working into dressage this summer but his favorite thing to do is tricks!
